If you are looking to assign a dedicated device to the VM and are seeking greater than 44.1/48 kHz 16 bit, I would try passing through a physical USB audio device. I would have thought that our emulated HD Audio would be able to support at least 48 kHz 16 bit but I have not really checked – and that would only be a small increment over 44.1 kHz anyway.
